‘De stille staatsgreep: Neoliberale politieke en financiële elite wil samenleving compleet veranderen zonder dat burgers daar een stem in krijgen’

De afbraak van de democratie, rechtsstaat en sociale zekerheid, zoals die in Zuid Europa reeds heeft plaatsgewonden, staat ook ons te wachten, waarschuwt Roth.

Jürgen Roth, een van de bekendste Duitse onderzoeksjournalisten die al sinds de jaren ’70 boeken schrijft en Tv-documentaires maakt, onthult in zijn nieuwe werk ‘De Stille Staatsgreep’ hoe een machtige elitegroep van politici en financiële topmanagers stap voor stap de democratie en sociale (rechts)staat in de EU ontmantelen, totdat de burgers helemaal niets meer te vertellen hebben over hun samenleving en toekomst. Tevens waarschuwt hij dat de Duitsers –en met hen de Nederlanders- hun apathie bitter zullen berouwen, zodra de Griekse en Spaanse crises ook onze landen bereikt.

Ronde Tafels

Hoge vertegenwoordigers van de financiële industrie, de media, grote beursgenoteerde bedrijven en internationale adviesbureaus komen regelmatig met leden van de Europese sociaaldemocratische politieke dynastieën samen in zogenaamde ‘Ronde Tafel’ bijeenkomsten. Hun code: absolute zwijgzaamheid – reden waarom u er in de reguliere media nooit iets over zult lezen.

In Brussel bestaan er bijvoorbeeld de European Round Table of Industrialists (ERT) en de European Financial Services Round Table (EFR). In de EFR zitten de leiders van de machtigste Europese banken en verzekeraars. Roth toont in zijn boek aan hoe onvoorstelbaar veel invloed deze EFR op de Europese Commissie heeft. ‘Men noemt deze Round Tables graag lobbyisten, maar dat is een bewuste bagatellisering. Zij hebben namelijk directe toegang tot de politieke besluitvormers in hun landen.’

‘Complot van Europese economische en politieke elite’

De journalist noemt ook de Bilderbergers, die volgens hem vergeleken bij deze Round Tables maar weinig invloed hebben. Voor de jaarlijkse Bilderberg bijeenkomsten –editie 2014 in Kopenhagen- worden alleen politici uitgenodigd die achter het neoliberale denken staan (zoals in de afgelopen jaren VVD-premier Rutte en D66-leider Pechtold), leiders die de megabanken en –concerns alle vrijheid en macht willen geven.

Dit is beslist geen complottheorie, stelt Roth. ‘Er bestaat wel een complot – dat van een kleine, exclusieve Europese economische en politieke elite tegen de sociale en democratische staat. Hun doel is ondubbelzinnig een ideologische revolutie, de totale invoering van de vrije, onbeteugelde markteconomie.’

Stille staatsgreep

Volgens Ulisses Garrido, voormalige vakbondsleider in Portugal en huidig afdelingsdirecteur bij de Europese bond van vakbonden, wil deze elite ‘een complete verandering van de samenleving, zonder dat de bevolking daar in mee kan beslissen. Het is zonder twijfel een stille staatsgreep.’

Ook Francisco Louca, professor aan het Wetenschappelijke Economische Instituut van de Technische Universiteit van Lissabon, spreekt van een staatsgreep. ‘Deze stille coup is een model voor de algemene privatisering van openbare instellingen, voor de vernietiging van de democratische sociale staat.’ De deelnemers van de Round Tables zijn verantwoordelijk voor de uitvoering van dit plan.

Daarbij heeft de financiële industrie de touwtjes stevig in handen. ‘In veel Europese landen zijn de politici quasi ingekocht door hen,’ aldus Roth. ‘Zij voeren uit wat hen voorgezegd wordt, zodat zij daar na hun ambtstermijn een lucratieve baan kunnen krijgen.’

Democratie en sociale rechten worden vernietigd

Deze leiders van de Europese financiële industrie, massamedia en grote nationale en internationale concerns streven naar het maximaliseren van hun macht en winsten. Daarvoor is het nodig de democratische samenleving en de sociale rechten van de burgers stap voor stap te vernietigen. Niet voor niets wordt niet één vertegenwoordiger van de Europese burgers bij deze Round Tables toegelaten.

In Griekenland, Portugal en Spanje is de democratische rechtsstaat feitelijk reeds verpletterd, stelt de onderzoeksjournalist. Dit wordt bewust door de media en politici verzwegen. ‘De corrupte elite, die voor de economische situatie verantwoordelijk is, zijn hier weer de profiteurs. Iets vergelijkbaar zullen ze ook in Duitsland en Oostenrijk -en dus ook Nederland- proberen. De destabilisering van onze samenleving is ook hier al ver gevorderd.’

‘Corruptie op het hoogste politieke niveau’

Roth spreekt van ‘corruptie op het hoogste politieke niveau’, van een eliteclubje dat direct schuldig is aan het veroorzaken van de schuldencrises in onder andere Griekenland en Portugal. Dezelfde politici werken samen met de Trojka (EU/ECB/IMF).

‘Hun programma was het vernietigen van de laatste sociale verworvenheden. Wat politiek niet te realiseren was, werd overgegeven aan de Trojka. En die brak zonder enige democratische legitimiteit de sociale structuren in de zuidelijke landen af. Velen zeggen dat dit slechts een model voor heel Europa was, een proeftuin zogezegd.’

Alles wordt geprivatiseerd

Het doel van deze ‘stille staatsgreep’ is de privatisering van alle staatsbedrijven en publieke gebouwen, infrastructuur, et cetera. Alles wordt voor een spotprijsje verkocht aan de lievelingetjes van het heersende politieke systeem. Onderwijs, gezondheid, sociale zekerheid, alles wordt geprivatiseerd. ‘Wat hier gebeurt is de onteigening van het volksvermogen. Ik wil helemaal niet weten hoeveel crimineel verdiend kapitaal ondertussen in Griekenland, Spanje of Portugal is geïnvesteerd, om over Italië maar te zwijgen.’

Europa dreigt door sociale spanningen in te storten

Als het Verdrag over de Handel in Diensten (TiSA) erdoor komt, zal dit alles slechts een voorproefje zijn gebleken voor wat ook hier staat te gebeuren. Daar wordt echter niet of nauwelijks over gesproken in de media, ook niet tijdens de Europese verkiezingscampagnes. ‘Men wil alles aan de vrije markt overgeven, gemeenschappelijk eigendom zal er niet meer zijn. Een gruwelijk idee. En zoals altijd is alles geheim, vindt alles achter gesloten deuren plaats. En men laat dat –althans in Duitsland (en gezien de EP-exit polls absoluut ook in Nederland)- nog gebeuren ook.’

Roth durft geen voorspelling te doen over hoe de EU er over vijf jaar voorstaat. ‘Maar als er door de Europese verkiezingen geen radicale systeemwisseling in Brussel komt, zal Europa door sociale en maatschappelijke spanningen in elkaar storten. Nu al groeit er een generatie zonder enig toekomstperspectief op.’

‘Apathie burgers Noord Europa zal zich bitter wreken’

Burgers kunnen zich hier (nog) tegen verzetten door zich aan te sluiten bij sociale initiatieven en organisaties, die streven naar het herstellen van de transparante rechtsstaat. De onderzoeksjournalist vindt het echter dom en zorgwekkend dat de meeste burgers in noord Europa nog het naïeve geloof hebben dat wat in Griekenland en Portugal is gebeurd, hen niet zal treffen. ‘Deze politieke apathie zal zich op de middellange termijn bitter wreken,’ waarschuwt hij.

¿Qué hay detrás de Boko Haram y la propaganda mediática?

Es llamativo que durante la reunión que mantuvo días atrás el presidente de Francia, François Hollande, con los líderes de Nigeria, Níger, Chad, Togo, Benin y altos representantes diplomáticos de Gran Bretaña y Estados Unidos, haya manifestado ignorar quién o quiénes financian al grupo terrorista nigeriano Boko Haram, que mantiene secuestradas unas 270 niñas desde hace un mes. También es curioso que recién ahora París y Washington comiencen una campaña de alerta contra este grupo extremista, siendo que desde 2009 ha asesinado a unas tres mil personas.

¿Quién financia a Boko Haram?

La asociación ilícita entre la OTAN con Al Qaeda para el Magreb Islámico en 2011, por medio de la cuál Occidente y el extremismo lograron quitar a Kadafi del medio y repartirse las riquezas petroleras, acuíferas y armamentísticas de Libia, produjo un asentamiento permanente en Bengasi, desde donde se torció el destino de la Primavera Árabe a favor de Occidente.

Por ejemplo, desde allí se enviaron recursos, armas y combatientes a Siria.

Pero, las cuantiosas armas de las que disponía Kadafi, compradas a Rusia y Occidente fueron robadas y vendidas en el mercado negro a través del desierto del Sahara, terminando en manos de Ansar Dine (grupo extremista de Malí), rebeldes de la República Centroafricana y de Boko Haram, la guerrilla musulmana del norte de Nigeria.

Era sabido que los almacenes de armas diseminados por toda Libia, que fueron abandonados tras los bombardeos de la OTAN iban a ser saqueados y repartidos a grupos extremistas contra los cuáles Kadafi había combatido antes de 2011.

Precisamente, Francia fue uno de los países que promovió con mayor énfasis el ataque a Libia.

Además, una investigación difundida por el diario The Nigerian Tribune y reproducida en diversos medios detalla que una organización de caridad londinense recauda fondos para Boko Haram: Al-Muntada Trust Fund es el nombre.

Desde 2009 los extremistas se hicieron conocidos en el exterior de Nigeria, pero recién en 2011 consiguieron las armas de Al Qaeda y en 2012 fueron entrenados en el norte de Malí antes de la intervención francesa.

El grupo maliense Ansar Dine habría capacitado a Boko Haram junto con Al Qaeda para el Magreb Islámico durante la anarquía en Malí en 2012.

También, existen analistas que indican que Arabia Saudita financia indirectamente a los nigerianos, tal como hace con los extremistas chechenos, talibanes, rebeldes sirios, etc.

Asimismo, se están por cumplir diez años de la sangrienta toma de rehenes en un colegio en Beslán, Osetia del Norte (Rusia), por parte de extremistas islámicos apoyados económicamente por el reino saudí. Como se ve el modus operandi es similar.

¿Por qué intervienen Francia y Estados Unidos?

París va a prestar asesores militares para que ayuden al ejército de Nigeria a liberar a las niñas capturadas.
Pero, a Francia no le preocupa el extremismo islámico tanto como otra amenaza que hay en África. Por eso, intervino en Malí en 2012, en Centroafricana en 2013 y 2014, tras el golpe y cuida muy bien a sus aliados de Níger (país de donde extrae el uranio para sus plantas nucleares) y a la dictadura de Chad.

Por su parte, EE.UU., también le teme a un gigante mucho más difícil de manejar que al terrorismo islámico. Esa amenaza se llama China, y la creciente relación entre Pekín y los países africanos espanta a las compañías occidentales.

Principalmente, porque China a cambio de extraer los recursos (petróleo, gas, minerales preciosos y metales) invierte en infraestructura y en desarrollo social en los países a los cuáles se asocia.

La presencia china no deja de ser desigual, dado que Pekín extrae materias primas a cambio de productos con valor agregado, y además en el caso particular de Nigeria, ha vertido residuos tóxicos en el delta del río Níger.

En cambio, las empresas Total, Chevron y Shell han saqueado los recursos y corrompido a las elites locales profundizando aun más la desigualdad en África Central y Occidental.

Por eso, la campaña mediática demonizando a este grupo extremista es aprovechada por las potencias occidentales para legitimar su presencia militar y su control con un pretexto altruista, pero en realidad pretenden no perder terreno a manos de China, que necesita las materias primas africanas para sostener el crecimiento.

La competencia contra China en África ha llegado a un punto tal que Washington ha dividido a Sudán en dos partes autónomas e independientes: la petrolera aliada de Occidente (Sudán del Sur) y la que carece de petróleo pero tiene la infraestructura para la exportación de crudo (Sudán del Norte), cercana a China.

Control y manipulación

Estados Unidos además de frenar a China tiene otros dos objetivos. El primero es ubicar al AFRICOM, es decir el Comando Central Africano, en algún lugar del continente, ya que actualmente se encuentra en Stuttgart, Alemania.

En Bengasi no ha podido establecerse por la lucha entre facciones, que aun no lograron consolidar el poder en Libia. La interna de esta lucha alcanzó el 11 de septiembre de 2012 a EEUU, cuando el embajador norteamericano en Libia fue asesinado en el consulado.

Nigeria podría ser una buena ubicación para el AFRICOM, con la complicidad del presidente nigeriano Goodluck Jonathan, originario del sur petrolero y que ha olvidado al norte pobre y musulmán, profundizando la ya escandalosa desigualdad en el país africano más poblado.

Por otro lado, a pesar de que EE.UU. esté por recuperar su autonomía energética, gracias a la extracción de gas de esquisto, sus compañías procuran continuar con el negocio de la extracción y exportación de hidrocarburos.

Estados al servicio de multinacionales

Es habitual, en varios países de África, que las empresas multinacionales apoyadas por potencias financien guerrillas locales contra otras empresas disfrazando estas luchas de “conflictos étnicos”.

En el Delta del Níger son cotidianos los sabotajes contra oleoductos o contra trabajadores de las empresas petroleras. Es posible que Boko Haram sea un grupo extremista cercano a Al Qaeda o que también sea parte de esta estrategia imperialista de contratar mano de obra militar local para desplazar a compañías competidoras.

Por todo lo expuesto, ¿puede Hollande ignorar qué se teje detrás del extremismo de Boko Haram?

Gulf and Western powers easily sacrificed the Christians of Iraq and clearly the same powers care little about the Alawites, Christians and the Shia minority in Syria which face Takfiri persecution and daily massacres. It is therefore incumbent on General Michel Aoun and the Free Patriotic Movement (FPM) to maintain a firm relationship with Hezbollah. The FPM is mainly supported by Christians while Hezbollah is a powerful force within the Shia community. If the FPM and Hezbollah are hoodwinked by outside forces which seek to cause divisions, then both communities will suffer in the long-term given the shifting sands being backed by Gulf powers throughout the Levant.

The Coptic Christians in Egypt were sidelined because America only cares about Camp David and protecting Israel, Saudi Arabia and Turkey at all costs throughout the Middle East. When the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt began to focus on taking over the political apparatus and espoused sectarian thinking towards the minority Christian and Shia communities, then like usual Washington wasn’t concerned. Not surprisingly, while the Obama administration is worried about the fate of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, little is said about the brutal murders of Christians by supporters of Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood.

Indeed, while powerful Gulf nations are free to spread militant Salafi Islam throughout Africa, Europe, the Middle East, North America and Southeast Asia; it is abundantly clear that not one single non-Muslim place of worship is allowed in Saudi Arabia and apostates face death. This reality highlights the demise of Christianity within major Western nations and that secular governments care little when it comes to religious freedom. Therefore, the Christians of Lebanon should realize that they will be abandoned abroad at the drop of a hat because just like their co-religionists in Syria they are expendable. After all, when al-Qaeda affiliates and the Free Syrian Army (FSA) are involved in destroying Christian churches, kidnapping Christian bishops, cleansing Christians and other minorities like the Alawites and Shia; then this means little in America, France and the United Kingdom because Gulf nations are allowed to fund Takfiris and al-Qaeda affiliates openly. Of course, elites in Ankara, London, Paris and Washington are also involved in many terrorist and sectarian ratlines.

Aoun commented about the kidnap of two Christian bishops by FSA Islamists in Syria by stating that “These acts do not represent in any way a struggle for freedom, but rather terrorist acts committed by hate-filled, malicious terrorists who feed on the blood of innocents and the lives of civilians … while attempts to justify this terrorism under the pretext of seeking to oust the regime have become ridiculous and pathetic.”

The Christian Patriarch Cardinal Mar Bechara Boutros al-Rahi of the Maronite Church in Lebanon and All the East ”…called for halting violence in Syria and starting a national dialogue to reach a peaceful solution to the crisis.,,”

“During an honoring celebration held by the Syrian and Lebanese community in Brasilia, al-Rahi appealed (to) the international community and the countries which support the war in Syria to stop supporting and financing murder operations and to halt arming terrorism and destabilizing a secure country and to sit (at a) dialogue table.”

Gulf and Western powers also want to weaken the Christians of Lebanon by sowing internal dissent and undermining the FPM because Aoun refuses to be bought. Similarly, the European Union is being forced to put more pressure on Hezbollah because of the whims of America, Israel and Saudi Arabia. This is based on utilizing anti-Hezbollah rhetoric throughout many media channels and by powerful think tanks espousing propaganda for their political backers. Therefore, the terrorist attack in Bulgaria appears to have been “a hatchet job” in order to lay the foundation of undermining Hezbollah.

Media agencies are powerful tools in the wrong hands therefore labeling Hezbollah to be sectarian and militant needs to be questioned. Hezbollah fighters in Syria are helping border communities against Takfiri fanatics and a plethora of Sunni sectarian forces which also have no qualms in killing Sunni Muslim clerics. In the last 12 months in Syria several Sunni Muslim clerics have been killed for either supporting the Syrian government or for seeking accommodation with other minority groups. Therefore, when Hezbollah helped to retake a border district between Lebanon and Syria the Christians once more began to rebuild their church which was defiled by Gulf and Western backed terrorists. However, the real reality on the ground is ignored because it doesn’t suit the agenda of powerful Gulf and Western nations.

In Syria it is Takfiri Islamists and a plethora of sectarian terrorist groups which are involved in beheading minorities, brutally killing captured Syrian soldiers, committing atrocities against civilians based on religious and political affiliation and setting off car bombs throughout this nation. Hezbollah, on the other hand, is fighting alongside the Syrian armed forces in parts of Syria irrespective if the soldiers are Alawite, Christian, Shia or Sunni. This isn’t surprising because Hezbollah supports the Palestinian cause and it is abundantly clear that the majority of Palestinians are Sunni Muslim. Therefore, the mass propaganda angle against Hezbollah is easily dismantled because this movement is resisting the hegemonic dreams of major Western powers, Gulf nations and the state of Israel.

In 2006 Hezbollah under Hassan Nasrallah signed a very important memorandum with Aoun whereby powerful Shia and Christian forces would work together based on mutual interests. Of course, certain disagreements exist just like in all nations because this is the nature of politics and you also have a different confessional basis. Despite this, the memorandum highlighted that the old days were over whereby militants within both communities would move on in order to lay the foundation for a new Lebanon whereby fear is taken out of the equation.

Hezbollah and the FPM both gain mutually when it comes to maintaining the military of Hezbollah based on the notion of resistance, while Christians in the FPM gain politically within the power mechanisms of Lebanon because of the powerful support that Hezbollah gives. Issues related to different lifestyles, cultures and religious affiliation highlights the pragmatism of both Hezbollah and the FPM. Ironically, it is the ambitions of Aoun which may threaten the mutual alliance because he seeks to broaden his political church. Therefore, Hezbollah is adopting a patient stance in order to keep the alliance together while Aoun knows that he can’t afford to lose the special relationship because it will weaken his powerbase.

If Christians and the Shia focus on the reality of modern day Syria then clearly they will realize that in the eyes of Takfiris and the plethora of terrorist forces in this country, that both religious communities are deemed to be “infidels.” This reality is proven on the ground because many Christian churches and Shia mosques have been destroyed. At the same time, both faith communities face enormous persecution at the hands of al-Qaeda affiliates, Takfiris and the followers of Salafi Islam in Syria. If Gulf and Western backed terrorist and sectarian groups emerged victorious under the prevailing conditions in Syria then a bloodbath against the Alawites, Christians and Shia would ensue. Likewise, the Druze community would feel the full force of Salafi bigotry in Syria if the Syrian armed forces were defeated.

Indeed, a brutal civilizational struggle is underway in Lebanon and Syria whereby Gulf petrodollars seek to crush indigenous Sunni Islam because of their views on supporting mutual accommodation with all religious groups. This civilizational war can be felt in Afghanistan, Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Mali, Pakistan, Tunisia, Somalia, Syria, and in other nations. Likewise, gradually the dark and sinister Salafi movement and Gulf petrodollars are spreading their evil tentacles to Indonesia, Malaysia and throughout Central Asia and the Caucasus region. Indeed, these sinister forces can be felt within European nations and in North America. Therefore, many Sufi shrines have been destroyed in Libya, Mali and Somalia while Sunni Muslim clerics have been killed in Syria.

Syria now is on the frontline in a civilizational war whereby moderate forces and religious diversity are being threatened by Gulf Islamist petrodollars which seek to crush moderation and religious pluralism. This brutal force is being backed and supported by America, France and the United Kingdom because of various factors despite laying the foundation for terrorist attacks at home. The recent brutal murder of Lee Rigby is evidence of this evil force which is being given a free hand to spread hatred and division. Also, it is clear that September 11, Benghazi and Madrid happened because of Gulf and Western powers supporting al-Qaeda and Islamist terrorism in Afghanistan, Bosnia and Libya. After all, blowback will always emerge and now in Egypt the same Muslim Brotherhood that America bankrolled and met frequently within powerful political institutions in Washington; is now the same Muslim Brotherhood which wants to castigate America. Despite this, the same dangerous game keeps on being played despite the reality of the outcome – after all, look at modern day Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya and Pakistan (self-induced).

The Levant is now being pulverized by sinister forces which are supporting sectarianism and terrorism. In recent months it is clear that elements within the FSA and various al-Qaeda affiliated groups are now intent on spreading terrorism in Lebanon. This follows on from the increasing reality of sectarian hatred which is being espoused by the same dark forces in Syria and which can be found throughout the Gulf region. Syria is now on the frontline and the enemies of this nation also desire to crush Hezbollah and to weaken the Christian position throughout the Levant. Therefore, it is incumbent that Syria survives and that the central state overcomes diabolical forces which support sedition; to enforce a brutal Sharia Islamic state based on Gulf Salafi Islam; to crush all religious minorities; and to enforce women into the shadows.

At the same time Hezbollah and the FPM must remain united because clearly many outside nations want to defeat these internal political forces by utilizing various dark means. It is clear that America, France, Israel, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and the United Kingdom desire to control the region. These nations therefore will use any underhanded tactic at their disposal in order to weaken Iran, the Russian Federation and to crush all independent forces within the Middle East which refuse to bow down to Gulf and Western hegemony. This reality means that the only way to destroy Syria and movements like Hezbollah in Lebanon – even if the Christians of the Levant are crushed – is to spread sectarianism, sedition and terrorism while spreading hatred throughout the media and destroying the economic lifeline of Syria.

Clearly, this reality is being played out in Syria whereby the most brutal Takfiri terrorists in the world are bypassing international passport controls based on the deeds of powerful Gulf and Western nations. Military arms keep on flowing into the Levant because even a weakened Syria beset by terrorist problems like Iraq will be deemed a victory. Of course, the enemies of Syria smell blood and seek the demise of the government at all costs irrespective if this destroys the religious mosaic of this nation. Likewise, the anti-Hezbollah rhetoric is now witnessing a new challenge to its powerbase by spreading enormous propaganda, creeping terrorism in the Hezbollah heartland and by curtailing the funding of this movement. This reality means that it is essential for Hezbollah and the FPM to remain firm during such delicate times in order to prevent outside forces from dictating the future of Lebanon.
